Why Dual Enroll with FBC?

Here at Faith Bible our mission is to equip Christian students to be Grounded in the Word, Growing in Christ, and Giving Back to the Church.

This is no different for our Dual Enrollment students!

3 REASONS WHY WE SHOULD BUILD A BIBLICAL WORLDVIEW

1. We need to know what we believe and why we believe it, so that it is personal to us and not borrowed from others. Having a personal relationship with God will save us from finding ourselves feeling not good enough to share our faith or getting lost in the confusion of other beliefs.

2. In preparing to face the realities of our culture, we need to be trained in the Word of God. Odds are, we will be faced with peers/teachers/bosses who hold different and deceptive beliefs. Knowledge of the Bible empowers us to take on the challenges of those who do not believe, and enables us to stand firm and provide guidance to others.

3. Christians should be growing closer to Christ. Growing closer to Christ will build our biblical worldview. When we know Christ and all that He has done for us, it brings to life our value, the value of others, and the value of creation as a whole. Having the worldview of Christ can influence our drive and the purpose of our work/education.

WHAT FBC HAS TO OFFER

All FBC courses are available for High School Juniors and Seniors to take for college credit! Below are some additional class modalities we offer through our wonderful partnerships.

Christian Ed. Partnerships

There are two ways FBC can come alongside Christian high schools & home school co-ops.

1) We can partner with the institute through their existing faculty to provide some classes as dual enrollment credit.

For example, two teachers at Hampton Christian Academy offer a few of their classes as dual enrollment and we accept their credits.

2) We can come to them!

In the past, our president, Kevin Newman, taught weekly for another local Christian academy.

Home School Partnerships

Sarah Olbris, home school Math teacher and annual tester, uses our campus for classes and testing. We accept her advanced Math courses as dual enrollment credits.

Home Educators Association Of Virginia ( HEAV ) is a proud supporter of Faith Bible College. We will be at booth 802 during their annual convention on June 6-8th! At 3pm on the 7th, come to our workshop titled:

Two Keys to Short-Term Missions Preparation.

A Course Made for You!

Intro to Career Development  is an FBC online independent  study with Dr. Kevin Newman, ThD. (1, 2 or 3 credits)

This course provides high school Juniors and Seniors with an opportunity to learn and develop the necessary skills to engage in life/career planning. This variable credit course can be taken for one, two, or three credit hours. Students can gain assistance in many areas of career development, from choosing a major and deciding on occupations to learning about resumes, interviewing, and job search strategies. The process involves thoughtful self-assessment, career exploration, planning, and follow-through with preliminary employment strategies.
