Why should you consider Faith Bible College?

Because we are Hampton Roads’ foremost representation of the Bible College Movement. FBC’s roots lie in the Bible College Movement, which was born in the late 1800s for the purpose of training ordinary believers to become outstanding church and missions workers. The evangelism of the lost and  nurturing of God’s children are the most important endeavors in our world, and certainly deserve formal preparation and study.

Because our courses are conveniently located and scheduled for the more than one million individuals in our community. Over the past century, many of the best and brightest prospects for Kingdom service have left the Hampton Roads community for Bible college training in other locations. This exodus has inconvenienced the students who depart for unfamiliar places, and their absence has weakened the churches in Hampton Roads. Indeed, some would-be students have never received in-depth biblical training because of the difficulty of leaving the Hampton Roads area for further schooling.  Our evening school and “Junior  Bible College” format seems to fit precisely the needs of students anywhere in Hampton Roads.

Because FBC is a conservative evangelical institution. The FBC administration is determined that the instruction received at FBC will be both biblical and gracious. Just as destructive criticism of the Scripture, sensational claims of enthusiasts, man-made traditions, and careless thinking will not prosper in an atmosphere of academic excellence and biblical scholarship, so arrogance, legalism and mean-spiritedness will not prosper in an atmosphere of grace.

FBC is denominationally unaffiliated, preparing its students to minister effectively in a variety of conservative evangelical churches and denominations. The faculty and student body represent churches and  denominations across the spectrum of conservative evangelicalism.
