HISTORYBirthed by God and created in the vision and mission of the Bible college movement of the 1800's, FBC continues the vision of training lay people to become outstanding church and missions workers. Drs. B. Hathaway Struthers and Kennard S. Brackney, Sr. founded the Hampton Roads School of Biblical Studies in 1996, in Norfolk, Virginia. The Board approved the name change to Faith Bible College to more accurately reflect the school's mission. FBC specializes in training and developing Christian lay leaders for work in the local church and in world missions on the undergraduate level. Faith Bible College's founding Church, the Tabernacle Church of Norfolk (Tab Church), together with other friends and local churches in the area, provide for the College's ministry through prayer and financial gifts. The College receives no federal or state financial support. The College is denominationally unaffiliated. TABERNACLE CHURCH OF NORFOLK
