Faith Bible College's Core Values are the root and substance of its purpose for existence. These core values form the basis for the institution's Mission Statement.
The Glorification of God
The eternal privilege and purpose of humanity is to know God intimately and to bring glory to Him.
All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, And they shall glorify Your name. Ps 86:9
The Inspiration and Authority of the Bible
The Bible is God's divine manual for life on earth, and its inerrant, authoritative revelation forms the core of the college's curriculum and instruction.
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work. 2 Tim 3:16-17
Conservative, Evangelical Framework for Learning
Christ prayed that his disciples would be in the world but not of the world. As such, learning is about the world from a biblical worldview and not adapted to changes of the world.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,...accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God. 1 Cor 15:1-4 and Rom 15:7
Christ prayed that His church might "be perfected in unity." Denominational and para-church cooperation is to be practiced, especially in the area of doctrinal truth, as godly and essential.
Now may the God who gives perseverance and encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus, so that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Rom 15:2-6; John 17:21-23
Board, administration, and faculty must model, demonstrate, and require excellence in every facet of the educational experience in an atmosphere of professionalism and godly decorum.
Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks though Him to God the Father. Col 3:17
Christian character, discipleship, and service, including integrity and servanthood, are essential for Christian leadership and ministry.
So that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. Col 1:9-10
Evangelism and World Mission Mindset
Faculty and students reflect Christ's passion for the lost with an enthusiasm to communicate God's truth, love, and salvation in accordance with the Great Commission.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matt 28:18-20
Biblical education must introduce knowledge and facilitate the development of core skills and attitudes that stimulates a lifetime pursuit of biblical and life knowledge.
Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15
The church is God's primary means of edifying the body of Christ and reaching the world for Him.
So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God's household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit. Eph 2:19-22
Fiscal stability and administrative expertise are essential to helping students fulfill their potential.
Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance. It is the Lord Christ whom you serve. Col 3:23-24
Prayer and Faith
A Spirit of dependence on God through prayer shall be encouraged through persistent prayer and spiritual exercise.
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God...And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him. Phil 4:6; Heb 11:6
